Good evening everyone, Welcome to another exciting year of Scouting. Our primary goals are to draw closer to God, make friends, support our community, protect our resources and environment, and have fun. You can do all of this while progressing through the ranks of Cub Scouting. We have already scheduled many events and activities for our pack. Our calendar changes frequently due to unforeseen circumstances, so stay up to date by regularly checking the website. Please lend a hand where you can. The leadership is always relying on parents to help out and make your son’s scouting experience the best it can be. Parents and leaders please be reminded of some training highlights: Two deep leadership at all times, buddy system for boys, excuse yourself from the area if you must partake in tobacco and no alcohol while participating in scouting events. Thank you all for all you do for our boys, God Bless, Bobby D. |

| Good evening everyone, We are already having our second Pack meeting. The scouts are earning many awards, including Bobcat and several Belt Loops. Parents are encouraged to continue to help their scout by working with them from their scout books at home, as well as at meetings on Fridays. Our family campout seemed to be a huge success. I estimated we had 90 people for dinner and campfire on Saturday night. This may have been the largest participation at any event to date. We were blessed with outstanding weather (FINALLY); those that have not been here for a while would not understand. We usually get soaked at our events! A special thanks to the WEBELOS II, for a delicious breakfast for us on Sunday, including French toast, sausage and pancakes. Thanks also, to Melanie Blake and Lorri LeBarge, for their help in the “kitchen.” Also, newcomers, Randy Bunker, Rick Balcom, Ava Benson, Karen Goodrich, Kevin Ducharme, Jerrell Hill, and all the others that helped make this happen. Parental involvement is the key to our success and is greatly appreciated. We were extremely successful at reusing, reducing, and recycling. We ended up with a small amount of trash instead of about 10 bags. Great job everyone! We will definitely do this again at all of our outings. I hope this campout will bring you many memories for a long time. My memories include the beads and leather work, thanks to Frances Wiley and Karen Goodrich, the relay races at the field, the HUGE fish that Zachary Ducharme caught, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the smell of the campfire, the yellow jackets (BZZZZ-- yes, I got stung!), the skits (Hairdresser, Girl scout, bus driver and statue were my favorites), and bread puddin’. But most of all, I’ll remember the boys had fun, not with a television or video game, but with a stump and a stick! Upcoming events: Adopt-A-Spot clean-up on 10/29 from 2-3; Arboretum service project 11/19 from 1-3. I pray that everyone has a very safe Halloween and enjoys the treats. God Bless, Bobby D. |

| Good
evening everyone, Sometimes we just don’t take the time to realize just how good we’ve got it. Next time your alarm clock goes off early in the morning, be thankful that you can hear, and that you are able to get up out of bed. The next time you put on a pound or two, be thankful that you have enough food to eat. This list could go on and on, but I think you understand where I am going with this. We have so much to be thankful for, but sometimes our attitudes on life get in the way of our realizations. Please begin to reflect on all that you do have and be thankful for--all the little things, as well as the big. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and thank you for all you guys do. God Bless, Bobby D. |

Good Evening Everyone, Well, undeniably, Pack 320 had the grandest float in the parade! Make sure you give a special thanks to Craig Wallen for organizing and planning all that went into getting this monumental task pulled off in such a short period of time. Much behind the scenes work was done well in advance to make things run so smoothly. Many, many thanks to all the parents and scouts that helped out in the construction and decorating of the float. In today’s society, it is almost a crime to express religious believes in a public forum. The following cartoon is a prime example: I heard about a recently conducted study that stated about 90% of Americans polled, celebrate Christmas. Those of us in the silent majority that do are being silenced by the boisterous minority. So, with that said, I wish each and every one of you a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and blessed holiday. Please join me in remembering that Jesus is the Reason for the Season! |

Good Evening Everyone , Congratulations to all the astronauts that soared their rockets during the Space Derby. You all did an OUT OF THIS WORLD job on your space crafts! Thank you to Paul Boinay, Mike Haas, Paul Mayo and the numerous other volunteers that made this Space Derby a success. Also, thanks to Leona O’Keefe and Grace Boinay for keeping the crews fed. Keep up to date on all of our activities by e-mail and the website. Next week we will be ice-side for the Admirals game; I know I am looking forward to it. We may get lucky and actually see some hockey (instead of just fights)! Please continue work with your scout at home to make sure he advances in rank; the end of the scouting year will be here before you know it. Gob Bless, Bobby D. |
